These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Punt app, website and related services (the “Services”), operated by PUNT LTD (“Punt”, “we”, “our” or “us”).

By using Punt, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

1. About Punt

Punt is a sports fan game where users make Punts on sports matches, earn Fanpoints, compete with other fans and build their fan status.

Punt is not a gambling or betting service. Punts are part of a free-to-play sports game and are not bets or wagers.

Punt does not involve real-money wagering, and Fanpoints have no monetary value and cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for cash.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old, or older where required by local law.

  • By using Punt, you confirm that you are legally permitted to use the Services in your location.

We may restrict or remove access where eligibility requirements are not met.

3. Your Account

Punt creates an account for you automatically when you use the App. You do not need to provide an email address or password to use the core Services.

  • You are responsible for activity associated with your account.

  • You must not attempt to access another user's account or information.

  • You must not create or use multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage.

We may suspend or terminate accounts where misuse, fraud or other violations of these Terms are suspected.

4. Use of the Services

You agree to use Punt for personal, non-commercial purposes and in accordance with these Terms and applicable laws.

You must not:

  • Create or use multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage

  • Use bots, scripts, automation or other unauthorised methods

  • Attempt to access systems, accounts or data without permission

  • Exploit bugs, errors or unintended behaviour

  • Manipulate Punts, Fanpoints, rankings, Fan Consensus or other game features

  • Interfere with the operation or integrity of the Services

  • Attempt to disrupt or negatively affect other users' experience

5. Punts, Scoring and Competition

Punt allows users to make Punts on sports matches and compete based on their results.

Punts may be available before and during matches, and the types and availability of Punts may vary depending on the sport, match and stage of play.

Fanpoints and other game results are calculated using Punt's systems and relevant sports data sources.

To maintain fair competition:

  • Users must not attempt to manipulate game results or scoring.

  • Punt may correct scoring or other game errors where necessary.

  • Punt may adjust, remove or invalidate Punts where data is incorrect, unavailable or affected by an error or technical issue.

  • Rankings, scoring and game outcomes may be updated where necessary to reflect corrected or verified information.

Punt's decisions regarding scoring, rankings and game outcomes will be made in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

6. Fanpoints

Fanpoints are virtual points used within Punt to track game performance and progression.

  • Fanpoints have no monetary value.

  • Fanpoints cannot be withdrawn, transferred for cash or exchanged for money.

  • Fanpoints are not gambling credits and cannot be used to place wagers.

  • Fanpoints may be used for features or benefits made available within Punt from time to time.

Punt may adjust Fanpoint balances where necessary to correct errors, prevent abuse or maintain the integrity of the game.

7. Fan Status, Leaderboards and Insights

Punt may provide features including fan status, leaderboards, achievements, insights and other measures of game performance.

These features are intended to reflect activity and performance within Punt and may change over time.

Leaderboard positions, fan status and other statistics may be recalculated or corrected where necessary.

8. Fan Consensus and Community Features

Punt may allow users to view and interact with opinions, Punts, reactions and other activity from other fans.

Punt may combine user activity to generate a Fan Consensus showing how participating fans are thinking about a match or other sporting event.

Fan Consensus is based on available user activity and may change as more fans participate. It is not guaranteed to represent the views of all fans or the general public.

We may moderate, remove or restrict user content that violates these Terms or that we consider inappropriate or harmful to the Services.

9. User Content

You may create or submit content through Punt, including usernames, opinions, Punts, reactions and other profile or activity information.

You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant Punt a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce and distribute that content as necessary to operate, provide and improve the Services.

You must not submit content that:

  • Is unlawful, threatening, abusive, hateful or otherwise harmful

  • Infringes another person's intellectual property, privacy or other rights

  • Impersonates another person or organisation

  • Contains malicious code or attempts to compromise the Services

10. Usernames and Profiles

Usernames and profile information are visible to other users where the relevant features allow.

You must not choose a username that is offensive, unlawful, misleading, impersonates another person or organisation, or otherwise violates these Terms.

Punt may require a username to be changed or remove a username where necessary.

Certain profile features, including username changes, may be available through an in-app purchase.

11. In-App Purchases

Punt may offer optional digital purchases within the App, such as username changes or other digital features.

All purchases are processed through the relevant app store and are subject to the applicable store's payment and purchase terms.

Prices and availability of in-app purchases will be displayed before purchase and may vary by location.

In-app purchases do not provide users with any real-money gambling or wagering functionality.

12. Intellectual Property

All content within Punt, including:

  • Designs

  • Graphics

  • Logos

  • Software

  • Branding

  • Other materials created by or for Punt

is owned by Punt or its licensors.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the Services for personal use in accordance with these Terms.

13. Privacy

Your use of Punt is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store and share personal data.

14. Third-Party Services and Sports Data

Punt relies on third-party services and data sources to provide certain features, including sports fixtures, match information, player information and other sporting data.

We do not guarantee that third-party data will always be complete, accurate, current or available.

Punt may also contain links to or integrations with third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of third parties.

15. Service Availability

We aim to keep Punt available and functioning reliably, but we do not guarantee that the Services will be:

  • Uninterrupted

  • Error-free

  • Available at all times

  • Free from delays or inaccuracies

We may update, modify, suspend or discontinue features or parts of the Services from time to time.

16. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, subject to rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Punt is an entertainment and sports fan game.

Sports information and game results may contain errors or delays, and Punt does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of third-party sports data.

Punt does not provide betting, financial or professional advice.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Punt will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Services.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

18. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Punt if:

  • You breach these Terms

  • You misuse the Services

  • You attempt to manipulate the game or its systems

  • We reasonably believe suspension is necessary to protect users or the Services

  • We are required to do so by law

You may stop using Punt at any time.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to Punt, our Services, technology or legal requirements.

Where changes are significant, we may notify you through the App, by email or by another appropriate method.

Your continued use of Punt after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms, subject to your rights under applicable law.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable consumer protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
